Since leaving Art College I have developed  a career in Publishing .   I have been involved in all aspects of design, page layout and illustration, etc. for several IPC magazines, including titles such as "Woman's Journal", "Practical Health" and "Mother" magazines.
I worked on the juveniles as Assistant Art Editor, eventually becoming Art Editor on the Children's Annuals. This involved commissioning work, illustrating and designing covers and pages.  In fact, it meant overseeing entire books throughout, up to and including liaising with the printers.
After that, I took a Graphics Design course at Croydon College and a DTP course, to bring my skills up to date and I went Freelance as an illustrator and designer. I produced two children's books on cookery and "things to make", which were sold in WH Smiths.  I illustrated and designed them on the Apple Mac computer.
Recently, I worked on "Driving Magazine"  as Assistant Designer. Afterwards, I Freelanced for many other National Magazines, and for various large Corporations. I have an Apple Mac computer and all the latest equipment which enables me to work from home and guarantees that I keep to your deadlines.  Right now I Freelance for the Reed Publishing Group on several of their magazines.
As a long standing member of the Carshalton & Wallington Art Group (I was the Secretary for four years), I have been a regular contributor to many exhibitions and I also have staged my own independent art shows.   I enjoy regular painting holidays and attend educational courses to acquire and develop skills on the latest techniques.
